What will we be doing?

Each session lasts an hour and takes place outside. It will include group and individual activities such as underground bug hunts, searching for pond creatures, nature walks and story trails. Each week we will make something, for example a bird feeder, crafts using natural and recycled materials or plant bulbs and seeds to take home. The activities are aimed at 2 to 5 years olds with a maximum group size of 12 children.

Looking after your little TOES

A parent or guardian must accompany all children throughout the activity session and are expected to remain responsible for their children during the session. Parents and guardians will also be asked to participate in the activities to help the children get involved and get the most out of the experience.

What will we need to bring?

All activity equipment is provided, but please ensure you wear appropriate outdoor clothing and footwear (waterproofs & wellingtons for rain; warm clothes, hats and gloves for cold weather; sunhats and sun cream for hot weather; suitable walking shoes or wellington boots at all times). And come prepared to GET MUDDY!

Early Years Foundation Stage links

The TOES activity programme and workshops are linked into the Statutory Framework for Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS). This means that children will be learning in a way that complements pre school and reception class teaching.
